Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan are not done creating magic together. Even as the veteran filmmaker recently confirmed his exit from Hera Pheri 3, he has now revealed that his next directorial will once again feature Akshay Kumar in the lead. This will mark the ninth collaboration between the actor and director, extending one of Bollywood's most successful partnerships.

It is also being stated that Priyadarshan had postponed his film with Mohanlal for this one and the old stags will re-unite post this one. Mohanlal is said to have accepted some new projects in the meanwhile as Priyan got busy post Bhoot Bangla success. 

The new film will be a comedy thriller and will be produced by Tips Films. Priyadarshan has already completed the story, while writer Rohan Shankar is working on the screenplay. The project is expected to commence shooting in December this year once the pre-production formalities are completed.

Priyadarshan's decision to walk away from Hera Pheri 3 had disappointed fans, especially after his return to the franchise generated huge excitement. While the reasons behind his exit have sparked several discussions, the filmmaker has wasted no time in moving on to a fresh project with Akshay Kumar.
